Thermocouple re-sheathing
In some applications, the thermocouple sheath can fail the first time the temperature drops to ambient. Often this is due to the temperature dropping for unplanned maintenance. When this temperature drop occurs, the sheath on a relatively new thermocouple will break.
Conax Technologies’ quartz re-sheathing program is a cost-effective alternative to scrapping the broken thermocouple for platinum trade-in value. The re-sheathing allows you to replace only the sheath on the thermocouple, preventing the need to purchase an entirely new sensor.
